Dominican Republic 2015

We just got back from another amazing vacation! Traveling is for sure Tyler and I's favorite way to spend our time alone. We love seeing new things, and we love having that time together. We went with our amazing friends and we all got along so great. Its so nice having good traveling buddies who want to do the same things. Gage was lucky enough to go to Yellowstone while we were away with Shirley and Brandon's Family. He had so much fun and was super spoiled. Nash spent one on one time with grandparents and we came home to him talking more. We missed them a lot! Our flight left salt lake at midnight and we flew all night. We arrived In Punta Cana the next day around noon. Our resort was huge, really overwhelming huge. Our room was perfect! The food was so-so but the beach beautiful. The waters are for sure clearer/bluer in Mexico but it was still beautiful.  We settled in, booked our excursions and headed to the beach. The first night at dinner I was exhausted and we hit the bed early.
Hot tub on our patio. Too bad the last thing you want to be in is a hot tub with the heat.
The next day we spent in the sun all day. It was my favorite day for sure.
These pictures are all mixed up but oh well. We spent the next day on a snorkeling excursion. It was the best snorkeling we've ever done and we've snorkeled a lot! Tons of fish and pretty waters. Afterwards we cruised around the ocean in a party boat to a shallow area. We got out and swam and played around there for an hour or so. We then went back to shore for the best lunch. It was so good I wish I could've recored all our comments while eating it. We then headed back to the resort.
Day two we did another excursion 4-wheeling to a cave. We swam in the cave for maybe 15 min (it was rushed) then went to the beach. This beach was on the other side of the island and it was beautiful! We wish we could've spent more time there cause the water was crystal clear! That excursion showed us the poor side of the Dominican and it was pretty sad. Tons of kids living in huts with no shoes, no nothing! It for sure gave me a reality check and made me realize how much I take for granted. We're extremely blessed.
Dinners took forever each night and we were always starving! All inclusive is for sure not all you can eat like cruising. After dinner we usually watched the different shows they have every night. One was really good the others not so much. They had a casino and we lost a few nights. They have a disco club and we had fun there dancing away. One night we walked the beach pretty late, that was a fun adventure.
We took our under water camera and I loved the pictures from that!
Our room was really nice and we slept amazing this trip! No waking up to crying kids during the night. No waking up at 6:00a.m. to Nash. Once we laid down we were out!
Again our resort was amazing!
We celebrated our 8th Anniversary during the trip! Alisha and Carlos celebrated their 5th. We spent that day (Monday) on the beach all day, we really only left to eat lunch and dinner. It was the perfect way to spend our anniversary!
Leaving these vacations is always sad but exciting too. We were so excited to see the boys and they were so excited to see us too!
