Disneyland 2013

Man oh Man did it take forever loading all these photos! We're super sad our trip is over and why do vacations fly by in a blink of an eye?? We've been planning this trip for over a year and we knew we wanted to go during Christmas time. All the hype for Christmas there was a little over rated if you ask me. I think most of your Disneyland vacation depend on the crowds, sadly it just does! We were told it wouldn't be too busy but it was crazy! Well ok maybe I'm exaggerating a tiny bit but it was a lot busier than we had ever seen it. We've been in February and October and both those months were awesome. Never again will be go in December but lesson learned right? I guess the lines weren't "terrible." The kids waited awesome in them, and our longest line was maybe 45 minutes at the most? Ok so maybe I'm sounding like a whiner.

Anyways the trip was great and the boys did amazing! We knew Gage would be super easy this trip and he was! We were a little worried about Nash, not knowing how he would do in another element. He rocked disneyland and everything else. He did great every second, heck I don't even think he cried once!
The plane ride over was jetblue and I officially love that airline! Gage just watched football the entire time (he's obsessed) and Nash slept.

We arrived to 70 degree weather and sunshine! We checked into our hotel and headed to the beach. We didn't make it in time for sunlight but the beach at nighttime is amazing! The kids loved it and we played until we were starving to death. Headed to dinner, grocery shopped and headed to bed.

Monday we headed to Knotts Berry Farm and we're pleasantly surprised. The place was huge and they had so much to do for all of us! We were there from open to close and the kids loved it! No lines and lots of fun!

Day 1 of Disneyland was for sure my favorite! Vanessa, Shirley, and kiddos arrived that morning and we decided to do California Adventure. Usually I'm a disneyland girl but this trip I for sure favored adventure. Gage's first ride was tower of terror. I about died when he was all about going on. My dad, Tyler and I were freaking out in line waiting for him to chicken out. He was awesome on it and once it was over he yelled, that was awesome! As much as he says he loved it he wouldn't ride again. I'm so proud of him though this trip he did everything he could do at his height! He's been going through a chicken faze so we were wondering how he would do. The only ride he was hesitant on was pirates of the Caribbean. He chickened out at the last moment but ended up riding it later on and loving it. The fit  he through when he first didn't want to ride it though was lovely.

Our longest line for sure was toy story. Thankfully Nash slept the entire time but carrying that sack of potatoes in line for 45 min was an arm workout. He fell asleep pretty much in every line almost instantly. We need to get him sounds of people to play at night time! :)

Two reasons why this day was my favorite were Gage's excitement. He was so excited for everything and was so thankful. Watching him ride all these rides for the first time was heaven! Secondly was this game on the pier. Vanessa played it for Gage on last years trip and won him a small bullseye. He's been talking about playing again ever since. He walked up to a game full of adults and Tyler said good luck. Well he ended up beating all of them and walking away with a huge bullseye. I will never forget his smile, I will never forget that moment. He sits down again with pretty much the same group of adults and wins again. Then Kimberlee plays and doesn't win so what does he do, goes up and gives her one of his animals. Seriously in all the times I question if Tyler and I are doing this parenting thing right that moment let me know I was doing ok. He ended up giving it to Brynlee cause Kimberlee had won a game the day before. Small moments like this make me so proud.

And then we met Minnie! Oh Minnie and Nash had a little love affair. She spent so much time with us and just loved on Nash. It was such a magical (yep I just used that word) experience. IMG_6406IMG_6399IMG_6395IMG_6394IMG_6390

We decided the caterpillar on bugs life is Nash's twin!

When I told a few people we were taking Nash at 5 months to disneyland they commented "why he won't remember it." Well I went to Disneyland when I was 10 and do not remember it so good luck waiting till they're 20! Nash loved the rides and this picture right here is why we took him. Yep that twinkle shows he did enjoy it and even though he might not remember it he had fun!

We had an awesome dinner that first night and as you can see Gage highly enjoyed it!
Day 2 was breakfast with the characters. We've done this a few times in the past but this time wasn't the greatest. Way too many people, not enough characters. The food is great but not sure if we will pay $30 a person next time.

Family Photos this trip were a fail!

Beautiful but too many people!

We got stopped a ton for everyone to comment on how cute my boys were and how cute their hats were! I loved every second of it!

Day 3 was another disneyland day and we had some twiners.

We ran from open to close this day squeezing in every possible thing over and over again. The kids did awesome and all had a lot of fun!

If you ask him what his favorite ride is he will say Matterhorn. We both got to ride it with him thanks to a parent swap ticket. When Gage rode with me it broke down right when we finished. We had to be let off one by one, Gage thought that was pretty cool.

Oh Cars Land and the craziness. It was super cute though and Gage loved it! We got fast passes to do the racing ride and that's really the only way to go. The ride was awesome, the kids got to do it twice thanks to a parent swap ticket!

The one character Gage wanted to meet was Goofy. As we were walking out of the park our last day, kinda sad we wouldn't meet him there he was! Oh another moment I'll never forget Gage's smile!

Waking up early the last day for our plane ride home. 2 of these boys are fakers, can you guess who?
IMG_3293
Not faking. :)

Our plane ride home was delayed which sucked with the kiddos but they did great. Once we took off they were both out and slept the entire ride home! What a perfect trip! Disneyland is crazy, hectic, tiring but so so so perfect! I can't wait to go back already!
