My little man is 4!

I'm still having a hard time coming to terms with Gage turning 4. I'm having a hard time with myself growing older, so watching him do the same is hard. Everyday he continues to grow into an amazing little boy. He brings us so much joy I don't think I could ever put it into words. I catch myself just watching him watch tv, or playing with his friends. I see a lot of myself in him daily and I'm starting to see a lot of Tyler. He's Tyler's little sidekick that's for sure, they do everything together! Somedays I'm happy that Tyler leaves for work because when Tyler's around I'm diddly squat.
Gage at 4.....
-When we went to his 4 year check up, he was super child. He weighed 38lbs and he was 40 inches. We will be going to Disneyland later this year, and some rides you have to be 42 inches. We've been using the "if you want to ride more rides at Disneyland you need to eat all your dinner" card. It's been working like a charm.  He had to do a blood pressure scan, pee in a cup, and an eye exam, which he rocked all 3. He did pretty well for his shots, but I'm thankful he won't need anymore till Junior High.

-He wears size 11 shoes, and he's in 5t shirts and 4t bottoms. He's tall and skinny. He has the best hair and it grows like a weed. He has eczema though, and always has an itchy bum.

-He's doing so well in preschool and loves his class and Mrs. Brown. He blows us away constantly with how smart he's become. He still loves the girls in his class, especially Sara.

-Speaking of smart he says the most grown up things sometimes. He remembers everything! He loves to quote Ninja Turtles and his cousin Kimberlee. We can't say or promise anything in the future unless we will really do it. He will hold you to anything!

-He's still a decent sleeper but he's dwindling down on his naps. He's been sleeping from 9p.m-7a.m every night and napping 1-2 hours a day. He will now play in his room for about an hour before falling asleep at nap. When he does nap he will take longer going to bed at night too. I know that his napping days are almost over but I just can't let go. Hopefully when he stops naps he will sleep till maybe 8am.

-He's a pretty good eater in a sense that he likes a lot of things. He loves fruit and some vegetables. He loves most kid foods and a lot of pasta. I'm still working on getting him to eat the same thing as us most nights but some nights are better than others. He used to be a huge drinker but lately he's pushing that away.

-He's not a morning person at all, and he takes a good 30 mins to be happy in the mornings.

-He's very shy at first with anyone and not a big talker. Once he warms up though you're in for it. He's not as shy with kids thankfully. He has a hard time saying hi to new people and I feel bad that he's not more sociable. He loves being in public settings though and anything with a lot going on.

-He loves having things to do and gets bored pretty easily. He doesn't sit still for too often but we have been lucky with Ninja Turtles and a few games that give us some sanity. He rarely will sit and cuddle so when he does we take advantage.

-He's getting better with his whining. He also hasn't been in time out for a while now. The only time Gage has ever really given us a hard time is usually in public. Which all you parents can agree is the worst time. Those all too lovely tantrums that happen when he wants something and I don't budge. I can only recall about 4 of those so hopefully they're dwindling down.

-He loves helping with snoop and the daycare babies. He's so excited to be a brother and talks about it at least once a day. He's really into helping with things lately no matter what the task. Hopefully this will come in handy with the little guy.

-He's still obsessed with being outside and playing with friends. He loves his bike and his sports. He likes going on walks and to the park. Thankfully our neighborhood has two parks nearby so walks have been nice.

-He's never really loved toys or became attached to any toys. If we have to take something away from his we have to take outside play away or his favorite game on the Ipad. He never plays in his room and he rarely plays alone. I think this has a lot to do with having daycare kids around most of the time. He's been spoiled with friends always here to play with.

-We got really lucky with Gage and I'm super thankful for a healthy and happy kiddo. He for sure gives us moments of craziness but what kid doesn't. I know it's the crazy mom in me but I really see him doing amazing things with his life. Whatever he does he always excels and he always is the best at it. He doesn't do a lot half done, which is a lot like Tyler and I. I tell him everyday that he will always be my baby and that when he's older and famous to always remember his parents. :) I'm so going to be that crazy sport mom in the stands, heck I'm already that mom! Love you Gage, you're my heart!

I absolutely love his pictures, can I get a 5x7 of your favorite. I can't believe how big he is and how grown up he is. I love spending time with him and we all know how much that kid impresses me ha ha ha! He is a very polite, sweet, smart and super cute boy. You and Tyler are fantastic parents and should really be proud of yourselves. Thanks for flourishing my life with darling nephews. I love that boy so very much! It makes me laugh to think of him quoting KD (and vice a versa) and him thinking Krews googly eyes are funny! Love that they have each other in their lives. Happy 4th little Gagey!
