4th of July & Randoms

We had a really fun eventful 4th! My parents were away on a caribbean cruise so us girls & families decided to party it up. Thanks to Alisha & Carlos we had great seats at the West Jordan parade. Gage was all about it, and sat and watched the entire time. He loves the candy and didn't seem fazed with the heat. It was hot though, but thats part of the 4th of july holiday right? 

Afterwards we took some naps then headed over to the Fred's for a pool party. I'm so happy they bought their pool, swimming and having a bbq is perfect! Gage has finally gotten used to being in the water and he's does great. By the end of the day he was jumping off the sides and swimming without even holding onto the edge. Tyler and I both love the water so him liking it was important to us! He was very anti pictures though, he would cry if we even pulled out our cameras! If you know Gage you know this is very unlike him!! Thankfully he snapped out of it and we got some good 4th party pictures!

Fireworks were banned in Shirley & Vanessa's neighborhood so we went over to our parents. We did the normal stuff and the kiddos loved it. The 4th is all about food, water, parades, and fireworks to me so I think we did it all right! 

Some other updates...

No news on the house. :( We were told on Friday it was still in final review so were just still waiting. I've gotten out of the run to the phone like a mad lady faze, but I would love to find out soon! 

Vanessa & Bradon are expecting baby #2, I don't think I've blogged about that! They find out what they're having on July 21st!! Woohoo, I'm thinking Boy! My good friend Mika also just found out she's expecting a baby girl, babies everywhere! So excited for them all!

Gage is in a really great stage right now, I'm loving it. I don't know whats worse having two kids close together so you have to deal with double of certain things. Or getting out of the diaper bag/ diapers/ cribs/ sleep waking stage and starting over again. Well all I know is I'm really enjoying this stage in our life right now.  I don't think I've been happier and I'm trying to spend as much time loving this summer and getting out of the house! Gage is my world and he makes me so proud! I really really need to start writing down all the crazy things he says. Nothing makes him more happy then being outside, playing t-ball, parks, or friend time! He's really such a energetic, go getter boy! 

Tyler and I signed up for the dirty dash on Sept 22nd. I needed the motivation to train and I heard it's fun! I've went out running this week and it's not pretty. It's crazy how your body goes out of wack so fast! Right now I'm running a 5k in 38 min. Bad Bad Bad! Lets hope I report back in a few weeks with  at least 35 min, geez!

 We've spent some time at the Zoo & Jungle Jims this Summer. We did it with the daycare kiddos and I don't like posting too many photos of them online. Lets just say that 1 Zoo trip a year is good for me. Gage isn't a fan either. The animals always look so unhappy and their cages are tiny and disgusting. The new exhibit is pretty cool though, I wish all their cages were similar.

Tyler & Bradon did a Spartan Race in June, 13 miles and 25+ obstacles! He killed it and came 163 out of 1500 people, crazy huh! 

Gage hated the mud, can't ya tell from his face!

I had a girls night with my friends from high school! I'm so thankful we are still close and we can't get together once in a while! We went and saw Magic Mike, which was great eye candy! :)
